A Crain's Detroit Business article began "Alibaba is coming to Detroit." More specifically, Alibaba and a host of Detroit business leaders are coming to The Whitney to kickoff the Gateway 17 event. The Chinese e-commerce giant is hosting the inaugural Gateway event to help U.S. businesses learn how to sell into the Chinese market.
A leader in the field of autonomous and connected mobility, Warner Norcross & Judd LLP has joined the University of Michigan’s Mcity as an affiliate member.
Warner Norcross will provide Mcity with legal research and analysis related to the liability environment for CAVs that require shared control by a human driver. The firm expects to publish its analysis jointly with Mcity in November.

Mayor Duggan hit it out of the park with his speech at Mackinac Policy conference, "One city for all of us." He promised that the development that's been centered in downtown and midtown will continue into the neighborhoods providing benefits for everyone in the city. The standing ovation the Mayor received is proof that everyone in the room agreed with the vision. Way to go, Mr. Mayor!
